By the very nature of their design, propeller sizes simplistically come in small, medium, or large diameters and pitches. Small pitched props are better for increased low end torque resulting in good hole-shots and acceleration, but are typically slow in top-end speed. Larger pitched props are much faster on top-end speed but are slow in acceleration and may not ever get the boat up on plane. Most boats are equipped with a prop pitched somewhere in between, not great for plane and acceleration and not the fastest to-end speed. The StingRayTM Classic was designed to eliminate these opposing prop functions. The Classic eliminates the need for a small diameter prop by forcing the stern up and the bow down, getting the boat on plane as much as 50% faster with much improved acceleration. All this equates to as much as 30% - 40% increases in fuel efficiency The XPI also eliminates Chinewalking, stops Porpoising and aides in pilling skiers.
