Wamblee W420. One Man AIS SART Rescue Device
The new W420 ‘RESCUE-ME’ is a compact personal safety device designed to guarantee the safety of the crew members. The appliance can be worn around one’s neck using a fl exible antenna or directly fi tted to a self-infl ating lifejacket. Should the user fall overboard, the sea-sensors become automatically activated and W420 transmits a radio signal to locate the ship-wrecked crew.
The activation knob that should be set to ARMED position when on the sea. An alarm signal is sent simply by pressing the Activation Button when OverBoard. The W420 sends a radio message on international maritime AIS channels 1 & 2 that is receivable by any AIS equipment or surrounding rescue units. A sophisticated GPS receiver provides the location of the shipwrecked. CE1232 certifi cation.
